Resort Stay with Water Theme Park

Within the premises of Primaland Port Dickson Resort & Convention Centre (PRCC) lies a water theme park that brings hotel guests together for a dip in cool waters and a man-made beach where tourists may sunbathe with a good book in hand. Besides housing 300 rooms, the hotel has a beach volleyball court, and provides water volleyball and table tennis to its more active tenants. Guests may also choose to break a sweat at the gymnasium before relaxing at the Jacuzzi. Once the sun sets, travellers may venture outside to the outdoor theatre to catch a movie under the stars or display hidden vocal talents during karaoke.

Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan: Seaside Quaint Town

Originally starting out as a small Malay village inhabited by fishermen and traders, the town was formerly known as Arang, which was the Malay word for -coal-. During the 1820s, tin ore was found at a nearby town, Lukut, which led to an exodus of Chinese migrants to the area. In the 1880s, a British officer named Sir Frederic Dickson decided to transform Arang into a port to transport the tin ore deposits from Sungai Ujong to Klang, and renamed the town as Port Dickson. When the tin ore trade finally ended, the town developed into a beach resort destination and was soon visited by tourists from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Besides being well-known for its beaches, Port Dickson has other tourist attractions too. The Wan Loong Chinese Temple pays homage to several deities including Guanyin and the Monkey King. History aficionados may visit the Army Museum to trace the achievements and exploits of the country-s armed forces or the Lukut Museum for a lesson in the town-s mining roots, while scenic enthusiasts enjoy views of the ocean and greenery at PD Waterfront.
