Bangkok’s Daily Going-ons

Local affairs are emulated, as intrepid travellers head on roads less travelled to Amphawa Canals to observe the ins and outs of indigenous snack sellers. Canals are lined with local fare, as hungry adventurers satiate cravings in manners of native folks. Shop-keepers manning floating businesses are reserved for those seeking to experience genuine customs without stereotypical key chains, T-shirts, and wildtuk-tuks.

Once there the smells of cooking seafood takes over and all your sense get going, the sights, smell and noise of music is awesome. The market place is main occupied by Thai people and there is very is little foreigners there, which I love. – Aug 4, 2013

Most visitors as mentioned by many reviews are local and the food are very authentic Thai delicacy. We did sample many dessert that we have never seen or taste before, all were very tasty. There are also many handmade souvenir for sale along the river bank and price were so much cheaper than many tourist attraction probably it’s more incline to local tourist’s affordability. – Sep 18, 2013

Amphawa itself is a romantic river town which comes alive every Friday evening to Sunday. Sit down along the riverside to enjoy fresh seafood BBQ at at very reasonable price. Walk along the shops and check out the creative handicrafts created by the locals, for the Bangkokians and tourists. – Jul 9, 2013
